Woodland Township Animal Control

Woodland Township is currently utilizing Academy Animal Control  as our Animal Control officials. To report animal abuse, a lost or found animal or to file a complaint regarding a domestic animal, please contact them at 1-800-624-1709.  If you reach the voice mail, please leave your name, the town's name, a phone number where you can be reached as well as why you are calling.  

They provide animal control services 5 days a week.  Emergencies services are provided 7 days a week, 24 hrs. per day.  Emergency service includes: injured animals, animals providing danger to humans, suspected rabid animal, animal struck by vehicle (which is still alive).

Dogs and cats picked up by Animal Control, when the owner cannot be located, will be taken to the appropriate animal shelter.  

Rabies Clinic

The Rabies Clinic is usually scheduled for early in the year. at the Woodland Township Municipal Building.  Rabies vaccinations are free and you do not need to be a Township resident.  Social distancing will be enforced and masks are required.  Please wait in line (outside) at the south side of the building.  Staff will direct you where to go.  In order to expedite  the process, dog licenses WILL be available for purchase at the clinic or you can leave your dog license application, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope and the proper fee at the clinic and the license will be processed and mailed back to you.  Please bring exact change or a check, made payable to Woodland Township.  If you have any questions regarding the clinic please call 609-726-1700.

Dog Licensing 

Dogs must be registered with the Township annually.  Applications must be completed, with a copy of the current rabies vaccination certificate attached. Rabies vaccine must be valid through October 31st.  Please see the application for applicable fees.

Applications are due no later than January 31st.   After that date, late fees will accrue.
